KwesiWith a beaming smile and warm personality, 10-year-old Kwesi is quickly growing as a rising talent in the field of entertainment. A Los Angeles native, Kwesi’s acting and modeling career sprouted at ten-months-old, when he starred in a video for pre-school children called “Tots on Tape.” Soon he was taking on more roles, appearing in a global Baby Gap campaign, and later at four-years-old he took on his first starring role on the medical drama, “Strong Medicine.” Kwesi began appearing in even more television shows, such as “Boston Legal,” “South Park,” “Til Death,” “The Shield,” and “Punk’d” with Ashton Kutcher. In 2008 Kwesi also appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live, bringing laughs to the late-night audience. He may be most recognized for his recurring roles on shows like “Daybreak” with actor Taye Diggs, and on the daytime soap opera, “Days of Our Lives” playing the character ‘Artemis.’ The young performer has also added voice-over talent to his resumé. He has loaned his voice in animated roles which have included ‘Andrew’ on the cartoon series, “Special Agent Oso,” and ‘Mr. Hoppy’ on Nickelodeon’s “Ni Hao Ki Lan.” His most notable voice-over role has been in the 2007 Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy winning animated movie “Happy Feet.” He also recently booked the new Cartoon Network animated series “Gumball” voicing the character role of ‘Darwin’. This past August Kwesi began filming alongside comedic great Ray Romano for a new humorous television series on TNT called “Men of a Certain Age.” Kwesi says of his role, “My character’s name is ‘Jamie’ and I play the son of Andre Braugher. I have another little brother in the script and our dad is going through a mid life crisis and we’re caught in the middle of it.” This month you can also catch Kwesi on the big screen, starring in Tyler Perry’s “I Can Do Bad All By Myself,” in theaters September 11th, 2009. Kwesi has a leading role in the film as ‘Manny,’ one of the three kids Madea finds raiding her home and sends to live with their troubled aunt April, played by actress Taraji P. Henson. In this film Kwesi gets to work alongside a star-studded cast that includes musical greats Mary J. Blige and Gladys Knight. Behind the scenes Kwesi is an ordinary boy who loves to learn and have fun. He is a gifted student and athlete who loves reading, playing basketball, soccer, football, swimming, skating, biking, and taking hip-hop dance lessons. Kwesi enjoys spending time with friends and family, including his two older brothers, Kwame and Kofi, who are also actors.
