BIOGRAPHY

Alana started modeling when she was 4yrs old with an agent in San Diego and then a friend knew someone in LA that helped her get a theatrical agent. She worked a lot of print jobs when she was younger and decided her dream was to act in feature films and TV. Alana started has worked in various thesis films, short films, music videos, etc, to build her theatrical resume. Last year, she worked in “My Letter to Hip-Hop” which was a short in the Elevate Film Festival ’06 which won Best Short. Alana has been very blessed this year as she was cast as a series regular on the first season of the FOX hit TV show “Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader” which was a blast for her! She worked with a lot of wonderful people while making new friends with Marki, Laura, Spencer, Kyle & was already friends with Jacob since they went to the same acting class in San Diego. She and the other 5th Graders were on the “Ellen” show twice, “The View“, Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood and they have been featured in TV Guide and People magazine. They were special guests for the “American Idol Top 12 Finalist” party, the “American Idol” finale, the Kids & Teen Choice Awards as well. The 5th Graders were also very honored to participate in some charity events; Fashion with a Passion for the Ronald McDonald House camp for kids, Driving for Donors for Patrick Pedraja (CNN Heroes finalist), and here in San Diego, Alana helped support the troops at two events for the Marine Corp Air Station at the Miramar base. Alana’s has also completed two Indy feature films, “A Simple Promise” that was just recently premiered at the LA Femme Festival and soon to be released on DVD; and the other Indy film is “The Silencer and the Sky.” Recently, Alana worked in a webisode for the FOX Myspace/Storyteller Challenge called “Chillin with the Gonzalezes” and just completed a thesis film for Chapman University called “Kid Pound” where she got to work with Marilyn Hassett, a 1978 Golden Globe winner, which will be submitted to all the film festivals and they expect to do well. Alana also has three Walmart commercials airing for the holidays!
