YBS was shocked and saddened to hear the tragic news of Michael Jackson’s death yesterday. He is a legendary icon that has lived throughout our lives and we never imagined a life without his presence. Many of the YBS Starz hold him as their inspiration for working in the industry so we thought, as tribute to his memory, we would post some of the reactions a few of the Starz have posted up about MJ and what he meant to them:

Michael was one of the first Young Black Starz, starting his career at age 5, and proved himself to be a true talent from a very young age. We are so lucky to have lived during his lifetime and to have experienced some of his genius first hand. He will be missed but his spirit will live on through his timeless music.

I have another update for you all on Tommi Williams. Tommi has made some new music! On her Myspace page there are 3 new songs: Like That, Just Me, and Keep Smiling. My favorite is Just Me!
