CLASS OF 2010: RHYON BROWN AND MISHON GOES TO PROM!
Congratulations to the recent High School graduate Rhyon Nicole Brown, who graduated from Junipero Serra High School on June 3, 2010. Rhyon is now off to USC’s School of Cinematic Arts this Fall! In May, Mishon accompanied Rhyon to her senior prom. See the video of the two of them going off to prom!

A few months ago, YBS posted some exclusive pictures of Rhyon Brown (profile) on the set of her very first short film “The Ties That Bind.” The film was written, directed and produced by Rhyon herself! Rhyon Nicole Brown (profile) and Mishon Ratliff (profile) attended the 41st Annual NAACP Image Awards on Friday, February 26, 2010 held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA. The ABC Family drama series “Lincoln Heights” (now canceled) in which both had co-starring roles, won the award for Outstanding Drama Series! Although the show has been canceled you can still see episodes of Lincoln Heights weeknights at 11pm ET on TV One.

41st ANNUAL NAACP IMAGE AWARDS: WE HAVE A WINNER!

Last night was a winning night for a few of the stars here at YBS! We’d like to send a big congratulations out to Keke Palmer (profile), Rhyon Nicole Brown (profile), Mishon (profile) and Jaishon Fisher (profile)! Keke Palmer took home the award for Outstanding Performance in a Youth/Children’s Program. “Lincoln Heights” won the award for Outstanding Drama Series during the pre-show, and the movie “Gifted Hands,” in which Jaishon Fisher played a very significant role, snagged the award for Outstanding Television Movie, Mini-Series or Dramatic Special!
After her big win Keke Palmer tweeted the following: I just want to thank all of the fans, I only want to make people happy. I was so shocked I won, thanks be to God, so amazing!
Rhyon Brown also took to her twitter to share her excitement about winning saying: “We won!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhh best drama of the year!!!:) All I can say is GOD IS AMAZING…. When they say he’ll give u more then u can imagine….IT’S TRUE”

On February 13th Rhyon Brown (profile), along with Nicki Micheaux and Erica Hubbard, attended the 41st Annual NAACP Image Awards Nominee Luncheon. The luncheon was held at the Beverly Hills Hotel in California. Lincoln Heights is nominated for an NAACP Image Award in the Outstanding Drama Series category! Be sure to watch the NAACP Image Awards live on FOX Friday February 26, 2010 at 8/7c.
