Several of our YBStarz were listed in the Tennessee Tribune under Rych McCain’s 5th Annual Hollywood’s 10 Most Talented Youth List on December 10th! Out of the 10 young talents listed, 9 of them are our very own Young Black Starz! How great is that! Justin Martin attended the premier for the movie The Soloist which stars Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr., Catherine Keener, Tom Hollander, and Lisagay Hamilton. Quite a few of the stars attended the NAACP Image Awards this past Thursday and some of them left with one as well! Keke Palmer won the award for Outstanding Performance in a Youth Program Series; this makes Keke’s second NAACP Award to date! “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne” (Larramie Doc Shaw & China Anne McClain) won the award for Outstanding Comedy Series. In the Pre-Show, Justin Martin also accepted the award for “Raisin in the Sun” – Best Made for TV movie! Congrats to them all on their well deserved trophies!

ANGEL WISHES AT THE SDBFF + JUSTIN MARTIN’S SURPRISE VISIT
Angel Wishes: The Journey of a Spiritual Healer starring Car’ynn Sims, Chris’tol Sims and Brea Renee will screen at the San Diego Black Film Festival from today January 29th to February 1st, 2009! Car’ynn Sims and Chris’tol Sims portray the parts of Young Lana and Teen Lana while Brea Renee portrays Naomi in the film.
Justin Martin and his co-star Corbin Bleu of the movie High School Musical 3 surprised the winner of a “Lunchtime is Showtime” video contest and Tiger Beat has all the scoop… 
The two HSM cast members paid the school a visit and helped serve lunch to the ENTIRE school as part of the grand prize for the Sara Lee® Soft & Smooth “Lunchtime is Showtime” Video Contest – a national contest where kids submit vids on why healthy eating is important to them. The winner’s name was Bronwyn Arnold, a student at Walnut Elementary, and she was all smiles the whole day!
