Jordan Adkison (profile) was recently picked to perform as the only entertainment for the evening for the 22nd Annual Spirit of Achievement Awards Gala for Junior Achievement of Southern California. The Gala was held this past Thursday, October 29, 2009 at the historic Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA. This hotel is best known for being the location for the filming of the popular movie “Pretty Woman“. Jordan had a blast and got some great feedback from her performance; she even signed a few autographs! See a few more pictures below!

Happy Friday everyone! To kick off the weekend, we’re bringing you new music from Jordan ‘J Dari’ Adkison (profile). Jordan’s new song is an uptempo pop track titled “Weekend” and it’s about her anticipating the weekend and all the fun she plans to have. The song was written together by Jordan and her mom and so far it has been receiving great reviews! Take a listen and tell us what you think… I bet a lot of you felt like this today!

Even with all of her music promotion, Jordan is still maintaining an “A” average in school! Jordan is also a part of the Junior Achievement program. JA was established in 1919 as a non-profit organization dedicated to educating young people about business, economics, and free enterprise. Jordan recently completed the finance program and had an awesome time! She was also selected to perform as the only entertainment for the evening at the 22nd Annual Spirit of Achievement Awards Gala Junior Achievement of Southern California. Our Music Monday selection this week is a tune called “My Song” by the 12 year old YBStar Jordan Adkison aka JDari (profile). In this song, with it’s soulful yet youthful sound, Jordan sings about staying true to herself and her gift. With lyrics like “How come I gotta be what you want me to be? This is my life, and I’m on my side,” this song is sure to inspire youngsters to be themselves, and to follow their hearts, despite what others may think. In other Jordan news, she has just completed a Food Lion Grocery Store commercial entitled “Cheddar” and it is currently airing in the Southeast States. You can view it under below the break. She and her entire family, including her parents and younger brother/YBStar Daylon Adkison (profile), were all cast in a national commercial for Bank Of America! Different vignettes of the commercial are now airing.
