Gerren Taylor and her designer Maria Pinto are taking part in the Oscar Designer Challenge. Gerren will be modeling Maria’s dress for the competition. Maria Pinto is actually Michelle Obama’s favorite designer! The Winners of the challenge will appear at the Academy Awards on February 22nd, wearing the winning gown! You all can vote for Gerren and Maria HERE.

Gerren was also featured in the magazine Girls Life. In the magazine, Gerren has an article where she discusses when and how her modeling career began, continuing on to the present. Gerren also mentions her view on beauty saying:

I am well aware that true beauty has nothing to do with flawless skin and fitting into size-zero jeans. That kind of “perfection” is an unattainable goal for most girls. Instead, beauty is about being the most amazing, unique person possible. And that, in a way, is perfection.

Baldwin Hills is back! The BET reality docu-drama that features Gerren Taylor is coming back for it’s second season on July 8th at 10pm. Make sure you tune in, the shows coming back with a lot of drama that you won’t want to miss!

Also, the DVD for the first season of the show will be in stores on July 29th.

Earlier this month we posted about Gerren Taylor’s film, Amercia the Beautiful, which is set to release in theaters on April 25th in Chicago. If the release is a success, the film will go to New York and Los Angeles in May, followed by 30 other cities. You can now view the trailer online!
