This past weekend many young stars went out to support the I Heart Haiti Kids and URBAN BORN global youth benefit concert and book drive for Haiti kids, held at Six Flags Magic Mountain in California. The goal of the event, which was hosted by actress Kyla Pratt and Q-Deezy from Power 106, was to bring awareness, collect books and raise funds to rebuild schools for Haiti kids. Among the young performers were Mishon (profile), Blake Hightower (profile), New Boyz, Romeo and The College Boyys, JoJo, Lil Mama, Sean Kingston, Ariel Winter, Cymphonique, Fabulous Girls, Lil King, Lil Fresh Boyz, Montana Tucker and more. We recently posted about Blake Hightower (profile), aka Young BE, making his first music video for his song “Skate or Die.” While shooting his video, Blake had time to sit down with Leeah D (profile) and Henry the III (profile) and talk a little about the song and video. Blake discusses the concept of his song and what “Skate of Die” means. Take a look at the mini interview attached underneath.

Blake Hightower (profile), aka Young BE did his first music video over the weekend for his song “Skate or Die.” It’s in the theme of young skaters and if you liked Lupe Fiascos ‘Kick Push‘ and other young hip hop artists then you’ll probably like this. Along with Yara Shahidi, Blake Hightower and Bobb’e J. Thompson will both be featured in the movie, “Imagine That” coming to theaters on June 12th. The guys attended the premiere in Los Angeles yesterday. Also in attendance were YBStarz Willow Smith and the K3 Brothers, Kwame, Kofi and Kwesi who were SO excited about attending the premiere because they got to meet and talk to one of their favorite actors and idols, Mr. Eddie Murphy!

Here’s a quick note to let you all know what Blake Hightower has been up to. Blake has been on the last 5 episodes of Everybody Hates Chris and will be on about 5 more during this season. The movie Imagine That that Blake filmed with Eddie Murphy will be coming out in June of this year!
If you don’t remember what the movie is about, Blake plays the role of Will. It is a fantasy comedy that tells a story about a financial executive who’s career is heading down. He (Eddie Murphy) is invited into his daughter’s imaginary world, where answers to his problems are waiting. The movie also features YBStar Bobb’e J. Thompson and Yara Shahidi (future YBStar =]). Yara plays the role of Eddie Murphy’s daughter. Check out the trailer below, it’s really cute!
