BIOGRAPHY

Marcus began acting at the age of 4 with his first Corestates Bank commercial. He went on to do a lot of print work and more commercials. His most famous is the Breyer’s Ice Cream commercial at age 5. Years later, he was blessed to get an off-broadway role as Joe Thibideux, in Caroline or Change which went on to broadway. During that time the same director of the play, George C. Wolfe, casted him for the role of Reuben Jr. in Lackawanna Blues. Marcus continues to seek unique and different roles as well as fine-tuning his tap dancing skills. Musically, Marcus has moved into an R&B / Hip-Hop feel and is writing, producing, singing and rapping original material. Check out his music at www.myspace.com/marcusphresh.

• Marcus is a Black, Puerto Rican Jew, and that’s just from his mother’s side. His father is pure 100% black.
• Marcus can speak a little Spanish and knows some words in Hebrew.
• Marcus has a pet dog, white Labrador named Meko, five years old. Meko is African meaning “a gift from God”.
• He has one older sister, Dahlia who resides now in Florida, and calls her everyday.
