BIOGRAPHY

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Dante Brown is the son of local business owners Tracy & Joyce Kelly-Brown, and the older brother of his only sibling, Dusan, who’s also in the industry. After hearing from strangers on almost a daily basis, (since Dante was born) about how adorable and personable he was, as well as being asked “Does he model?… Did I see him in a commercial?… Did I see him in a magazine?,” Dante’s parents decided to research steps to explore available opportunities for him in print and commercials. After meeting and consulting with a Mom who’s son had been modeling/acting for several years, with her guidance and information, Dante’s parents did what was needed to secure talent representation. Within a month, Dante landed his very 1st commercial (posted on his YouTube channel, along with lots of his other work) at age 1 1/2, and over the past eight years, Dante has been steadily plugging away, while simultaneously participating in additional extra-curricular activities.

Dante has appeared in several commercials for clients ranging from McDonald’s, Quaker, Western Union, Wal-Mart and National PTA, to name a few. On the print modeling side, Dante has been seen on a multitude of billboards, posters, product packaging, magazine and internet ads for clients such as Bank of America, Hyatt Resorts, State Farm, Keebler, Thomas The Tank Engine & more. Most recently Dante walked the runway with other Elite Models for the American premiere of award-winning, African fashion designer, Clara Lawson Aimes, during The Siren of Sahel Shines Fashion Show.

This past year has kept Dante quite busy. In November 2008, Dante attended his first Monsters of Hip Hop Workshop and competed in the Juniors Freestyle Battle – he was crowned King! In February 2009, Dante made his film debut as “Young Brooklyn” in the Sony movie, America, which aired on Lifetime and starred Rosie O’Donnell & Ruby Dee. Dante ended the 2008-2009 wrestling season ranking #4 in the nation, as well as 4th in the state! As a result of he and his brother, Dusan’s, YouTube channel, they’ve been contacted by producers of Maury’s Most Talented Kids, America’s Got Talent and various casting directors of TV shows. In June 2009, Dante and Dusan were flown to LA to film a TV pilot currently being shopped to all the major networks. Not stopping there, but continuing to diversify and hone his talents, Dante has been learning new dance routines with YouTube sensation, Khris Khaos, as well as working in the recording studio, the majority of the summer. He and brother, Dusan, anticipate releasing their debut album, this fall.
