It’s Saturday, schools out and maybe you’re looking for something fun to do. How about reading a book!? Believe it or not, reading can be a lot of fun. Especially if you have a good book that really interests you. Many of your favorite YBStarz love to read! Here’s what they had to say about reading and why they think it’s fun and important:

You can imagine anything! Like, magical fairies, talking animals or even being in junior high school! is why Yara Shahidi loves reading!

• 9 year old Yara Shahidi enjoys reading the Encyclopedia Brown books. Another book she recommends is a book called Chains by author Laurie Halse Anderson

• Rhyon Nicole Brown, 17, lists the following as her favorite books: This Lullaby, The Truth About Forever, Just Listen, and Dreamland by New York Times Best Selling Author Sarah Dessen. Her all-time favorite book is The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini.

• Sierra McClain, 15, is also a big fan of Sarah Dessen’s books!

• China Anne McClain, 11, loves the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer.

• Lauryn McClain, 13, enjoys reading the Goosebumps book series by author R. L. Stine.

• Kortney Nash, 8, really like Cam Jansen and Junie B. books. If you’re in her age group you might want to check those out!

• 13-year-old upcoming rapper/singer Breje recommends The Great Brain Book by H.P. Newquist

Some of young Hollywood’s biggest stars recently joined together in an effort to record a 25 and Under Edition of the song “We are the World” for Haiti and Unity! YBStarz Mishon (profile), Zachary Williams (profile), Oren Williams (profile), Ben Lee Foster (profile), Small Change, Lil Mama and Naturi Naughton are only a few of the stars who lent their voices to the track.
