Get into the spirit of the season with these festive designs I came up with. For once, I’ve done a step by step guide for each design so you can try it out for yourself. Although I’ve told you the colors I’ve used, feel free to experiment and change them up. I did use some thinner brushes to create some of the designs but if you don’t have any then you can achieve some of the finer details with our trusty friend the TOOTHPICK.

CANDY CANE

Colors needed: Red, White & Gold
FYI: All of this will be made easier with the use of a thinner brush.
1. After applying the all important base coat, paint your nails with a white polish.
2. Using a red polish with very little paint on the brush to achieve a thinner effect, paint the shape of a walking stick or a hook. This is the candy cane.
3. Use the white polish again with a small amount of polish on the brush to create the white stripes and then use a gold to make the bow.
SNOWMAN

Colors needed: Blue, White, Black & Red
FYI: Use a toothpick to make the dots of snow & the snowman’s buttons and eyes.
1. After applying base coat paint your nails with the blue polish.
2. With the white polish, make two blobs with the brush – one larger than the other. Then, dab a toothpick in some white polish and dot around the snowman’s shape to create the snowflakes.
3. Again using a toothpick, this time with black polish, make the snowman’s mouth, eyes and buttons. Then with a toothpick or very little paint on the brush, use the red polish to make the nose and scarf.
CHRISTMAS TREE

Colors needed: Red, Green, Black & Gold
FYI: Using less paint on the brush with make it easier to create the triangles as you can flatten the brush out more to create a sharper edge. Thin brushes will make this a WHOLE lot easier though!
1. After applying base coat, paint your nails red.
2 & 3. With the green polish, make three triangle shapes on top of one another.
4. Using the black polish, make a stump for the tree. A toothpick might be useful for this.
5. Finally, make a star with the gold polish and you can also create some tinsel around the tree too.
HOLLY

Colors needed: Gold, Green & Red
FYI: If you don’t have a thin brush I would recommend doing this one on your thumb as you’ll have more space.
1. After applying base coat paint your nails with the gold polish.
2. The easiest way to create the holly shape is to draw an ‘M’ and a ‘W’ on top of one another, then add a point to each end. Then put three red dots in a triangle at the center.
ORNAMENT

Colors needed: Green, Purple, Black & Gold
FYI: Sparkly nail colors will make this design stand out more and make it look more like the real thing!
1. After applying base coat, paint your nails green.
2. With the purple polish make a large round dot in the center of your nail.
3. Make a little round hanger at the top of the circle with the gold polish, then decorate the ornament or bauble with the black. You can create whatever design you like inside the ball – hopefully you can be a little more creative with yours!
Ok, so that’s it for the designs. Hope you like them and can attempt to recreate them yourself. Once you try it I think you’ll see that they’re not THAT hard! Have fun and Happy Holidays!

Hey kids! This is Terrell Ransom Sr. also known as Allstyle7 your red carpet stylist here giving you what’s going to keep you hot in these cool streets this fall. Have you ever wondered how to incorporate red carpet high fashion looks that you see worn by your favorite YOUNG BLACK STARZ into your every day wardrobe? Well, I have a few of today’s hottest trends that will keep you looking red carpet ready everyday!

To begin, are you ready for this jelly? I’m talking about these “bootie-licious” finds. Starlets such as Beyonce and Rhyon Nicole Brown have rocked booties also known as ankle boots this season. These will keep you red carpet ready in either high or low heels and can be found at any price range. Converse has even taken note for all you sneaker heads out there. Don’t hurt ‘em ladies!

FAUX-REAL? Believe it or not faux-fur is so in right now. A statement piece is what I like to call it. A lot of young black starz such as Rihanna can be seen hitting events in faux fur accessories. The statement says “I’m fly and I don’t want to hurt the cute little animals!” You can have the look of fabulous expensive fur without paying the price. WORK KIDS!

There is no way I can forget about my fellas. Two of my favorite looks right now are bowties and all black everything! The bowtie which is such a versatile accessory has made a huge comeback. Do this look with your favorite jeans and sneakers or classic dress shirt and slacks. They can be found any where from TARGET to NEIMAN MARCUS. No doubt the look of all black will make you stand out in a sea of neon colors. Its chic, sophisticated and will keep you looking like the YOUNG BLACK STAR that you are.
Okay kids, Allstyle7 signing out. Be sure to follow me on Twitter via www.twitter.com/allstyle7 and until next time, remember to dream in style!! xoxo

Have you ever loved the look of nail art patterns but thought they were way too difficult to try on yourself? Well think again, cause nail art isn’t as hard as it looks! Read on to find out how you can spice up your nails with some easy to do ideas!
WHAT YOU NEED:
You need 2 of your favorite nail polish colors (one dark and one light) a top/base coat and some rhinestones, which you can usually buy from any drug store or Sally’s beauty supply and a toothpick.
STEP 1:
Paint your nails with a base coat, then apply 2 coats of the darker polish.
STEP 2:
Once your nails are slightly dry, pour out a small amount of the lighter polish onto a piece of card or paper. Dip a toothpick into the polish and then dab it onto your nail to make a blob/dot. You need to do 5 of these in a circle. They can be in the middle of your nail or off to the side.
STEP 3:
When the blobs are slightly dry (tacky) take a new toothpick and place it in the centre of a blob. Then, gently drag inwards. Do this to all 5 dots and you will end up with a flower!
STEP 4:
Next, wet your toothpick with a dab of water so you can pick up the rhinestones. Then place a rhinestone in the centre of each flower on your nail. Press down hard as the nail polish may not be very wet by this time. After that, apply a top coat and this should secure the rhinestone properly in place!
It really is as easy as that!
TIP: If you don’t have rhinestones, you can get a polish of a different color and make a dot in the middle of the flowers instead!
Here are some other designs you can do with the 2 colors I used:

Want some other ideas? Here you go!

Our YBStar, Niles Fitch definitely has swagger! Niles is a cute kid with lots of style and he definitely knows how to show it off in his outfits. In this outfit, Niles is rocking a nice Ralph Lauren Polo vest, bow tie, and slacks; a simple, yet well put together ensemble! I’d say Niles’ appearance is very age appropriate and classy. The dressiness is not over done and I’m sure this type of an outfit would bring lots of compliments to such an adorable little boy!
Similar vests like the one Niles is wearing can be found at Macy’s in several different colors. The pants most likely are available at Macy’s as well. Next time you boys/guys are out looking for a nice casual outfit, think of Niles!

Do you all remember the catchy line done by Raven Symone in Dr. Doolittle “What am I supposed to do without my cell phone”? Well, I may not be able to tell you what to do without it but I CAN tell you some things you can do with it! You can accessorize your cell phone using super cute cell phone charms and jewels. Cell phone charms come in all types: diamonds, flowers, hearts, mini people, initial letters, and more. Jewels also come in different colors and designs.
