Some of our favorite young stars were in attendance during an event for the Greater Than AIDS campaign held a few months ago. Those who attended were young shiners Chelsea Tavares, Rhyon Nicole Brown, RaVaughn Brown, Kylee Russell, Halle Russell, Oren Williams and Zachary Williams. See lots of photos under the cut.

During the Holiday season Nay Nay Kirby (profile) aka Lil Nay Nay attended a Toy Drive Fundraiser Extravaganza for ASYM at Celebrity Centre in Hollywood, California. This Day Last Year: On October 26, 2008 several stars posed for pictures as they walked the green carpet at the movie premiere of Dreamworks’ “Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa“. Among those were young black stars Jaden (profile) and Willow Smith (profile), sisters Chelsea Tavares (profile) and Kylee Russell (profile) and actors Raven Goodwin and Kristen Combs. Take a look at these Oldies but Goodies that were taken a year ago today at the Mann Village Theatre in Westwood, California.

OLDIES BUT GOODIES: JAMIA 2003 PERFORMANCE

In 2003 Jamia (profile) made an appearance at the NBA All Star Game at which she performed the National Anthem. Take a look at this Oldie But Goodie video of her performance. Though only 6 years old at the time, Jamia didn’t fail to wow the crowd!
Jamia is now 13 years old and she’s currently working on her debut CD which is to be filled with R&B style music. Jamia says her CD will take her fans back to why they fell in love with her and will sound totally different from her promotional music.
