Young actor Kwesi Boakye (profile) has landed a guest starring role on the TNT show Hawthorne which stars Jada Pinkett Smith! Kwesi will be playing the role of William Glass, a burn victim. The special effects makeup for Kwesi’s burn took 1 hour and 45 minutes to apply! Wow! Take a look at some of the photos of him on set. View the photo of the arm burn as well. WARNING: The photo may be a little graphic for weak stomachs… it’s only makeup though!

The new second season of the Sesame Workshop television show, The Electric Company, premiered today January 25th with special guest star Kyle Massey (profile)! The Electric Company is a show that encourages literacy among children ages 6 to 9. Kyle will have a three time recurring role playing the Keith’s cousin PJ. After the premier week of the show, new episodes will air every Friday on PBS Kids Go. Later on in the season, other celebrity guest will appear on the show including Kyle’s brother Chris Massey (profile), Monique Coleman, LL Cool J, Sherri Shephard, and others. Keke Palmer (profile) recently stopped by for another appearance on The Bonnie Hunt Show this past Monday, January 18th, 2010. Being the joy that she is, she made Bonnie and the audience laugh as they talked about her turning 16, dating, and True Jackson VP. Keke also shared a little about her NAACP nominations and her second album. It looks like she has a great year planned ahead of her! Take a look at the video of her appearance above!
The UNCF will be airing it’s annual An Evening of Stars Tribute to Lionel Richie on January 23rd and 24th 2010. Both Bobb’e J Thompson (profile) and Paige Hurd (profile) will be presenters at the event. Other special guest for the evening will include Cedric the Entertainer, Will.I.Am, Jesse McCartney, Akon, and more. Be sure to check your local listings for show times!

Keke Palmer attended the iPOP! Awards Showcase Gala at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza in Los Angeles, California on January 12, 2010. Keke was there to encourage her fellow young performers.
