Oh how fast they grow! Shining stars Kwesi Boakye, 13, and Yara Shahidi, 12, posed together at Variety’s 6th Annual Power of Youth event on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Paramount Studios. The two teamed up for charity last year to help bring awareness to the NextAid Foundation. This week they will both be starring in big projects!
Kwesi will be starring as a Macon in the independent inspirational movie Unconditional in theaters this Friday, September 21, 2012. The movie, based on true events, stars Michael Ealy and Lynn Collins and tells a story about a woman who loses her faith in God until her childhood friend’s love for two underprivileged children (one of which is played by Kwesi) shows her that God’s love is always present.

Yara will be starring in two new movies next month and in the new syndicated sitcom The First Family premiering on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday September 23 on various CBS networks and on Centric Friday, October 5th.
