Chicago native and upcoming rapper Princess Nauwisa (Nah-Wee-Sa), 15, just had me reminiscing and seeing myself in the future with her new video for her song “I Like Him.” Haha The song talks about a young girl who’s really crushing on a boy but her parents won’t allow her to have a boyfriend — something many young ladies can relate to. Issa is featured in the video as ‘Ray’ the guy she likes. Check it out!
Fun Fact: Princess Nauwisa’s real name is Juanisha. The name Nauwisa was given to her by her younger sister who had a hard time pronouncing her name when she was a baby.
The interesting part of the video to me is when she tells her dad why she likes him. It made me think, if you lead by example, you really don’t have to worry too much. I’ll try to keep that in mind… Lol!
