Quvenzhané Wallis, 8, was in Los Angeles for the first time last week to attend the 2012 Los Angeles Film Festival Gala where her film ‘Beasts of The Southern Wild’ had a special screening. The screening took place on June 15, 2012 at the Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE Stadium 14. Quvenzhané was joined on the red carpet by her mom and the films other cast members.
While on the carpet she stopped for a quick chat with the LA Times about the movie. For the many people who have been wondering how to pronounce Quvenzhané’s name, she says both her name and nickname (NaZie) during the interview at around 0:38.
