Fourteen-year-old Chase Clarke is an upcoming teen model and actress who has modeled national campaigns for Dereon, Target, Scholastic, Gardasil, PEPSI, and Toys R Us and has appeared in commercials for Golden Corral, Coke Cola, Nickelodeon Home Court Red Lobster and Best Buy. Chase is also the face of the new Journey Girls Doll representing “Taryn,” one of five world traveling dolls. She will appear alongside four other models on the cover of Scholastics Bluford Series Teen Novel “Pretty Ugly.”
Chase, who is a big Beyoncé fan, recently interviewed with Tween Girl Style Magazine. She talked about her career, how she got started and her hopes for the future. When asked about her most memorable part of her career so far, of course, she said it was when she modeled for Dereon (right) and had a chance to work with Beyoncé’s staff:
“Everyone knows that I am an avid Beyonce fan, so when the phone rang late one evening while having dinner at a restaurant with my mom. My agent said, ‘Dereon is very interested in meeting Chase tomorrow morning. Can I confirm her?’ OMG! I love modeling and all go-see’s does not guarantee a booking, but I couldn’t sleep,” she said. “We had so many delays getting to this go-see. We finally arrived and I booked the job several hours later. It was a great experience having my hair and makeup done by Beyonce’s staff. They blasted all of her music. The catering was plentiful and everyone was fun and kind. It actually was my first job and they made it great! NO, I didn’t meet Beyonce because she was in Egypt.”
Chase loves Facebook, learning and studying choreography to Beyoncé’s songs. She hopes to be a household name within the next five years. “I’ve filmed 11 commercials within the last year. 6 have aired so far. I hope to soon move on to TV and film. My manager and agents work very hard for me. They truly believe in me,” she said.
