The Gurlie Gurlz attended LAUSD/Beyond the Bell 5th Annual Take Action Leadership Campaign on Saturday, May 19, 2012 in Los Angeles. While on the red carpet the girls chatted with POPSTOP TV about their success thus far and their plans for the future. They then were put on the spot and asked to perform; the girls performed their rendition of “Who’s Loving You” by Jackson 5. Want to know if they did well singing on the spot? Check the clip out now!
In a recent article with Elite Magazine The girls revealed a few thing about themselves:
• Sydney said that she likes being a part of the group because “It’s fun growing as a singer with your friends,” and did you know that she plays the guitar?
• Shelbi said that her favorite part about performing in front of crowds is the reaction of the crowd motivating them. She sometimes gets nervous though.
• Imani is one of her mom’s biggest fans! She says her mom [R&B/Soul singer Shanice Wilson] is her inspiration, and as for her favorite song of all-times? Of course, it’s her mom’s song “I Love Your Smile”
• Kennedy runs track and practices five days a week! She says if she could change the world her wish would be for everyone to treat animals with love because she loves pets! (Kennedy, I’ll work on that just for you girl… LOL)
