Young Black Starz has another “Fresh Face” — and more to come! Meet 10-year-old Jayla Calhoun. Jayla is a newcomer who will soon have a series regular role as Ebony Stallworth on the upcoming sitcom Family Time. The show was created by Bentley Kyle Evans (“The Jamie Foxx Show”, “Love That Girl!”) and will start airing on June 18, 2012 on Bounce TV.
Aside from the show, Jayla has already co-starred in an episode of TV One’s “Love That Girl” and has been featured in the indie films “Hero” and “The Wise Kid” as well as a commercial for TNT’s “Life Is Drama” promotional campaign. In June, Jayla can be seen in a new national Wendy’s Frosty commercial.
When not acting Jayla enjoys reading, baton twirling, cooking, singing, piano, swimming, running track, playing games with family and friends and more.
