Fourteen-year-old Alexis ‘Lucki Starr’ Gordon is really living up to her name. When Alexis was just a ten year old New Jersey Nets Kid Dancer, she was asked about the one person she’d most like to meet: “Beyoncé.” she said. “One day I am going to meet her!” Just a short time later, not only did she get to meet her role model, but she got to work with her too!
At the age of twelve, Alexis had the opportunity to dance for and alongside Beyoncé on a few professional occasions. One of which was for her “Let’s Move” video for First Lady Michelle Obama’s campaign where she was a principal dancer. How is that for Lucki?!
Alexis has also danced for Willow Smith for her “Whip My Hair” BET video premiere performance and for Mary J. Blige’s & Def Jam recording artist, Katlyn Nichol. In addition, Alexis Starr has done a number of modeling campaigns as a FORD model for companies like Target, Macy’s, LT Apparel, Pelle Pelle, Toys R’ Us, Kohl’s and more. She also been on Sesame Street and has some commercial credits under her young belt.
Currently, Alexis Starr is working with her Dad, Allen “Allstar” Gordon, a Grammy Nominated Producer (SWV, JOE, Jim Class Heroes, Madonna, Whitney Houston and others) who has developed a new pop singing group called Lucki Gurlz, of which Alexis Starr is one of the five “LUCKI” Gurlz.
