Keke Palmer

Keke Palmer Keke Palmer (profile) will be gracing the pages of the October 2009 issue of Teen Vogue, along with a crew of other young stars on the rise in the feature called Young Hollywood 2009. Some of the other stars she posed with include Sara Paxton, Miranda Cosgrove, Lucas Till, Rory Culkin, Josh Hutcherson, and Taylor Lautner who is on the cover. Keke looks very pretty and energetic in her summery outfit, and she seemed to have fun on the set of the photo shoot by photographer Bruce Weber. Check out the behind-the-scenes video underneath to see clips from the shoot.

Here’s what Teen Vogue had to say about Keke in an excerpt from the magazine:

This sixteen-year-old starlet is a natural entertainer: In addition to playing the title role in Nickelodeon’s hit series True Jackson, VP, she has managed to balance a music and film career‚Äîall before getting her learner’s permit. Later this year, she’ll take the lead in the hip-hop flick Vapors before raising the stakes with Oreo‚Äîan upcoming project she hopes to star in, produce, and direct. She looks to her idol Will Smith for inspiration: “Everyone loves him because of his versatility and constant growth as an actor,” Keke says about his evolution from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air to Hollywood power player. “That’s how I want to be, too!

Keke will also be part of Nickelodeon’s new game show called BrainSurge that will air weekday afternoons, beginning Monday, September 28, at 4:30 p.m. ET/PT. The new series will feature kid contestants, and Nick stars, who will be challenged in different rounds testing their visual, memory and thought abilities. The champion of the challenges will gain the winning title and get slimed, Nickelodeon-style. Along with Keke, stars like Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor, Nat Wolff Victoria Justice, and others, will battle it out for a chance to become the champion. The game show sounds like it would be lots of fun to watch–so nice to see game shows for youngsters again!
